In partnership with MoHSS, DAPP Namibia implemented a six-month malaria pilot project in the Zambezi Region under the Social Contracting model with good results. Under this agreement, DAPP Namibia deployed 12 Community Health Workers (CHWs) in clinic catchment areas with high malaria cases. They provided testing and treatment for uncomplicated malaria and referred children under five and pregnant women to health facilities. The CHWs also did community education on malaria, assisting MoHSS to engage people in communities in the fight against malaria.
